What drew me to this product was the packaging. It is so cute and the colours are perfect for spring. You can open up the front like a dolls house and inside are 5 mini nail polishes. All the nail polishes have a porcelain finish once applied but one thing I found is that you have to apply at least 3 coats first before it looks good on the nails. The colours in the range are: sweet pea, paper doll, baby doll, doll face and poppet.
They are nice pastel colours with a white that looks like Tipp-ex on the nail.
I don't really love them or hate them but for £18 I was happy to try them out.
Left to right: sweet pea, paper doll, baby doll, doll face and poppet.

What I Got For My Birthday!
Hey guys! It was my 18th Birthday on Friday and I just want to do a quick post on what I got from my family. I spent my birthday in London with my Mum, Dad and Sister and we all had an amazing time doing the normal things you do when in London like shopping, being a tourist, taking far too many photos and more shopping. On the night of my birthday we met up with my auntie and uncle and cousins in Covent Garden and had a delicious meal in the restaurant called 21. It was good to catch up with them as they live in Windsor and we haven't seen them since Christmas.
My Auntie, Uncle and Cousins got me these gifts above and I love every single one of them. I have be looking at this Zara Mini City Bag With Zip Detail for ages and wasn't sure weather to buy it or not but now that I have it in my life I love it. It will be great coming into the Spring/Summer as it is a lovely light pink colour. The bag is still available to purchase online. I love the beautiful silver necklace and I know I will be wearing this a lot in Spring/Summer. Even though my jewellery collection is mainly large statement necklaces I do love to wear smaller finer necklaces too.
The floral notebook is from Paperchase and will be handy when writing down new blog ideas. I have some reading to do with this blogging book. I want to lean a lot more about blogging and try to write better blogs for all my readers.
My final gift was a photo album from Paperchase with lots of photos of me and my family when I was younger and growing up. This brought back some funny memories and some "What was I wearing" moments.
I love what my sister got me as they have been items I have been looking at and really wanting to try out but never did. Everyone knows about the Urban Decay Naked palettes but I have never tried or owned any so I was so happy when I opened this. She also got me the eyelid primer in original to go with it. I'm really behind the times with not ever having the Porefessional primer but now that I have it I use it everyday in my make up routine. Two things from Lush are fun and a Butterball Bath Ballistic. My favourite gift of all is the letter A coaster, I don't know why I love it so much, but I do!
Just some silly 18 themed things like a photo frame, badge, coaster and key chain.
My other Auntie got me a very similar bag from Zara which is called the City Bag with Zips. I chose this bag as I wanted a plain black bag that would go with everything. Also from Zara I got this beautiful necklace. It has diamantes, small stones and its just really sparkly. I have been looking for a new purse for ages and when I see one I like I have to have it. The purse is grey and from T K Maxx but the make is Just Cavalli.
From my Mum and Dad they got me lots of little things but I picked these two as my favourite to show you all. The mug is so me and it says, "Daughter you're a real gem.... Beautiful and expensive". The wooden plaque fits in well in my bedroom and I love the quote on it.
These two candles are from Tosca (My Dog) yes, I know my dog gets me birthday presents. The candle on the right is Apple and Raspberry which smells amazing. I wish you could all smell how good it is. It is my the brand Sebnin of England and I have never tried them before so lets hope it is good.
The other candle doesn't have a name or brand on it but believe me it smells amazing too. The packaging is really pretty as it has bicycles all around the glass.
One of my main presents from my Mum and dad was Jo Malone perfume. I love Jo Malone so much, in my mind they can do no wrong. I got my perfume from Selfridges and the lady that served us was so good to us. We got an arm and hand massage done and she brought us champagne and chocolates to enjoy for my birthday. The perfume I chose is Wisteris and Violet which is from the Limited Edition Collection called London Rain.
When we came home from London there was one present waiting for me as soon as I opened the door. I couldn't wait to open it and as soon as I took the wrapping paper off I saw a MK dust bag, so I knew it was a handbag. I love this bag so much,it is perfect. It is called the Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Medium Tote in Tan. It is the perfect size to carry all that I need and will look amazing in the Spring/Summer.
I know I said it would be quick (which it isn't) but I wanted to share with you what I got for my Birthday. I am so grateful and thankful for all my amazing gifts and I wont be needing to buy a new handbag any time soon.

Review: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
When I was in Superdrug last week buying make up (as usual) I came across this new Garnier product. As soon as I looked at it I thought to myself that it is very similar to the L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Micellar Solution.
It is a 400ml bottle compared to L'Oreal's 200ml and they are both the exact same price at £4.99. (Garnier wins). Personally I love this cleansing water as it is a quick and easy way to take your make up off, while it cleanses and soothes your skin as well. It is also very good at taking mascara off and easy to apply onto cotton pads as it doesn't spill everywhere so you don't have any wastage. I love this cleansing water and it is a new staple in my skincare routine.

Fashion Friday #1
Recently I have been loving anything that is forest green. When I was in Topshop last week I happened to have spotted some dark green jeans. As soon as I saw them I knew they would be coming home with me.
They are the Moto forest Joni jeans, super skinny, soft and super high waisted and I personally think flattering on. They have no pockets at the front which I like but have two pockets on the bum. This style also comes in other colours and I wouldn't mind trying out a light blue shade for the spring. I got a shorter leg in these jeans as I wanted them to sit right on my ankle as I thought it looked better.
I love these jeans and at the moment I would style them with a crop jumper, a statement necklace and ankle boots. I think these jeans will carry me through into spring, if turned up at the bottom and worn with a floral cami.

Hey Guys!
Hey everyone, welcome to my blog!
I’ve been planning to write my own blog for quite some time now, so as we have started into a new year I thought this would be the best time to start something new. I’m Alex Paden, 17 years old and I live in Newtownards, which is a small town in Northern Ireland. After 12 years at being in the same school from when I was 5 to 16 I knew I needed a change so decided to study at college for 2 years. I am currently studying a Business course which I really enjoy, and in 8 months’ time will be heading off to University. I am really excited for this new opportunity and can’t wait to meet new people, move away from home and live in a completely new place and of course study!
As a self-confessed shopaholic I will include anything and everything from what trends and styles I love to my favourite beauty/skincare products, but I will mainly be writing about lifestyle related things. I’m excited about getting this going finally and I really hope you enjoy reading it.
